A sacred story that enhances life just through sharing it!

“Your perspective is always limited by how much you know. Expand your knowledge and you will transform your mind.” - Bruce H. Lipton

“Each experience of love nudges us toward the Story of Interbeing, because it only fits into that story and defies the logic of Separation.”

Charles Eisenstein,
The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know Is Possible

I just finished reading a very inspiring book by Charles Eisenstein: The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible. And so I dedicate this month's Mindful Chatter to the theme of Interbeing. What practical ways are there for YOU to improve your life and your relationships by sharing in this story?

Sometimes the news of the world brings me down....

And that is why this year I have been actively seeking out a different way to interpret the world around me. I was fortunate when a friend introduced me to Charles Eisenstein's book The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible. It gave me both a reality check and a most hopeful hint on how to experience this current paradigm shift.

Check out
Charles Eisenstein's TedTalk in which he invites us to explore this NEW story for us humans!

I know that my meditation and yoga practice keep me grounded and centered. I know that limiting the amount of mainstream news helps too. But it is authors like
Charles Eisenstein, Daniel Quinn, and Dr. Bruce Lipton that are rocking my world these days.  They don’t view through rose-colored glasses. Instead, they reframe the current state of affairs in a way that offers us hope. And hope itself can make a positive impact on the world.

I recall an old bumper sticker I saw in Berkeley years back:
Accept, Adapt, Move On. It is time that we all ACCEPT that our current way of living can no longer continue without some major changes. The idea that we are all separate from one another no longer serves us; not when each of us has the power to ADAPT to a more Earth-friendly way of living and a deeper acknowledgment of Interbeing. It is time for our species to MOVE ON from this outdated notion that our current way of living is the best we can do.  I am ready, and I hope you can join me in helping make EVERYDAY EARTH DAY.

We can do it — and we start with ourselves!

And a big heartfelt and tearful THANK YOU to
Prince Ea for his video that apologizes to the next generation for what we have done to our planet and suggests practical ways that we can all STAND FOR TREES.

The bottom line is this:  we are all in this together and reminding each other of that our interconnectedness holds the key to our survival and is one of the most hopeful messages I have ever heard.

Love and hope,
Ken
